A big MAHALO to our credit unions for continued support of the "5 In 5" campaign. Together, we will raise $500,000 in five years for Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, Hawaii’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. To date, we have collectively raised $83,853.
Your League is pleased to announce a collaborative effort with our business vpartner Proforma Favorable Impressions that will help increase fundraising and provide a solution to consumers faced with a ban on plastic shopping bags next year.
Starting in July 2015, Oahu stores join their neighbor island counterparts in the ban on plastic shopping bags. Consumers will be required to use their own shopping bags.
We developed a colorful, durable, reusable shopping bag for credit unions to sell and raise money for 5 In 5. The design theme “Mauka to Makai—Save the A’ina for the Children” represents the conservation effort of “going
green” by not using plastic shopping bags. Art gallery quality scenes representing Mauka (Mountains) and Makai (Ocean) grace the sides of this bag as well as our Hawaii’s Credit Unions for Kids brand. The bag features double handles for carrying flexibility.
The suggested selling price $5.00 per bag. (Approximately $2 per bag goes to the 5 In 5 fundraising effort.) Simply submit funds directly to Kapiolani Children’s Miracle Network and indicate “5 In 5 donation” (tote) on the check and send to:
